Enjoy relaxed dining either indoors, or alfresco in your choice of garden setting. Your lavish antipasto platter includes a selection of cheeses, cold meats, local salmon, seafood, olives, bread with dips, fruit and salad.

Compliment your meal with a bottle of local Marlborough wine from our cellar selection. Please order in advance and advise any special dietary requirements or allergies.

Carl and Jeanne have an excellent selection of New Zealand wines.

They regularly visit their local world class Marlborough wineries to source only the finest wines for their cellar. Included are a range of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The perfect match to compliment your antipasto platter.

For that special occasion, choose a bottle of chilled local bubbles delivered to your room.

Recipes

Jeanne's Home Made Museli

Makes 5 cups (20 servings):
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup oil
1 tspn cinnamon
1 tspn vanilla essence
half tspn salt
3 cups whole – grain oats
1/2 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup coconut thread or extra wheat bran
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional)
1/2 cup dried fruit (apricots)
1/2 cup hazelnuts or walnuts (optional)

Mix the first six ingredients in a bowl

Microwave on high (100%) power until mixture bubbles (1 ½ minutes) While the mixture is cooking , combine remaining ingredients except the dried fruit in a large, shallow microwave dish. Stir in the hot mixture from the microwave (breaking up lumps) Cook, stirring mixture after 4 minutes until mixture browns & firms up Cook for a further 2 minutes (about 6 minutes in total) Break lumps while warm Add dried fruit when cool Store in airtight container when cold.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

175g butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Melt butter. Sift flour, baking powder and sugar into bowl. Make a well in centre of dry ingredients. Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla essence and melted butter to dry ingredients. Mix untill well combined. Mix in chocolate chips. Roll heaped tablespoonsful of mixture into balls.
Place on greased oven tray and flatten with fork.
Bake at 180deg C for 15 minutes or until golden.
Makes abour 24.
